One of the most important things to get my creative juices flowing while writing is my music. I always (or almost always) listen to music when I write.
Today, I thought I’d share with you some of my favorite music to listen to while writing to help you prepare for NaNo if you’re doing it.
Let’s get started, shall we?
Personally, I prefer music with lyrics, but I know this can be distracting to some people. So, I’ll mark the music that does not have lyrics with an asterisk to make it easier.
My favorite band to listen to is Trans-Siberian Orchestra. I love their music so much! It’s a shame, but most people have only listened to their Christmas music.
However, they have some awesome albums that aren’t Christmas music, and EEEEEEEPPP THEY ARE SO GOOD.
These are my favorite songs of TSO’s, and the albums they are from.
Vienna (Beethoven’s Last Night)
Night Castle (Night Castle)
Epiphany (Night Castle)
Sparks (Night Castle)
Tracers* (Night Castle)
Prometheus (Letters From The Labyrinth)
Mountain Labyrinth* (Letters From The Labyrinth)
These are only a few of my favorites, but I’m going to move on now. If you’re interested in TSO, here’s the link to TSO’s YouTube: LINK
Here are a few random songs I like listening to and the links to them on YouTube:
I See Fire (from the Hobbit)
I can’t even describe how amazing that version of the song is.
I love all of Peter Hollens’ versions of songs, you should totally check his channel out! And his Pirate Medley collab? Ahhh I love it.
I absolutely love the Celtic Women, and Amazing Grace may just be one of my favorite songs of theirs!
And really, I could go on forever, but with TSO I covered all my most inspiring music, so I’m gonna stop here. 🙂
Thanks for reading!
